I use this lens as my 50mm wide for talking heads, and it preforms exceptionally! Often when I’m cutting a piece the backbone of my narrative rests on an intimate connection to a person’s story. The talking head element is a cornerstone of this structure, so getting a great medium / wide, with nice focal drop-off is key. This lens is wonderful when paired with my Veydra 35mm, 70mm equivalent, for my tight BCAM shots. They’re all you need for a cinematic two cam setup.

I have used my 25mm as my normal 50mm-ish lens on every one of shoots ever since I received it. It produces beautiful bokeh and compliments my footage by actually helping to control highlights as well as creating a style I have never seen before in other glass. I recently went on a trip to LA and I shot a highlight video of my time there. Check it out to see test footage and the lens in action. Link: https://vimeo.com/208238925
